BAL Green Screed Adhesive is a polymer-modified, cement-based, flexible tile adhesive for newly laid floors. It is specifically designed for fast-track tiling on recently laid screeds/concrete, and on low porosity substrates. Instructions for use
Ensure surfaces to be tiled are flat, clean, dry, sound and free from contamination
Mix the product with clean cold water; 3.5 parts powder to 1 part water
(Mix until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved)
Using a trowel, apply the adhesive to the floor surface (max. 1m2 at a time)
Comb to required bed thickness (between 2-6mm) ensuring ribs all run in one direction
(Note. if fixing large/heavily-patterned tiles, apply additional adhesive to tile reverse)
Fix tiles before adhesive forms skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C). If skin has formed, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer
Press tile firmly into the ribs of the adhesive and into position, with slight twisting/sliding action to ensure optimum adhesive contact (tiles can be adjusted for up to 20 minutes after initial positioning)
Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between tiles for grouting
Clean off surplus adhesive from tile face and between tile joints
