ProFix Grey Flexible Floor & Wall Tile Grout is a water and frost resistant, cement-based floor and wall tile grout. Flexible and highly durable, it can be used for grouting natural stone, mosaics, glazed and fully vitrified tiles, in joints up to 20mm. ProFix Flexible Floor & Wall Tile Grout is ideal for grouting tiles fixed to timber floors or heated screeds i.e. in conjunction with underfloor heating systems

ProFix Grey Flexible Floor & Wall Tile Grout conforms to classification EN 12004 CG2

Instructions

Preparation

• Ensure tile adhesive is fully set prior to grouting

• If tiling onto an impervious backgrounds, wait at least three days before grouting

• Ensure grout joints are clean and dry before grouting

• Do NOT grout at temperatures less than 5°C or in damp conditions

• Check a test tile to avoid staining tiles when grouting, especially when grouting tiles with a matt glaze or textured surface. If discolouration occurs, a protective sealer may be necessary

Mixing and Application

• Mix the product with clean cold water; 4 parts powder to 1 part water (mix until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved)
  Note. mix only enough for 60 minutes working time

• Using a grout float or rubber squeegee completely fill the grout joints with the mixed grout

• Remove excess grout as work proceeds

• Leave for 15 minutes to set

• Clean the tiles with a sponge and clean water

• Leave for 24 hours to set/dry completely
  Note. showers should not be used for at least two weeks after completion of tiling

Recommendations

ProFix Grey Flexible Floor & Wall Tile Grout is water resistant, but NOT impervious to water; where waterproofing is required, apply BAL WP1 tanking coating to the substrate, also ensure the tiles are fixed with water resistant adhesive

ProFix Grey Flexible Floor & Wall Tile Grout is NOT recommended for use with soft glazed decorative tiles or for tiles with a metal dècor
