Ardex X7 G Plus (Grey) (18Kg)

Ardex X7 Plus Grey is a high yield, high bond, flexible, cement-based wall and floor tile adhesive. It is highly economical, going 20% further than standard tile adhesive products. It has the latest in adhesive technology and is ideal for fixing all types of tile, in wet and dry environments, including total immersion areas such as swimming pools.

Ardex X 7 Plus Grey conforms to EN 12004 C2 TE

Instructions for use

• Ensure the surface is clean, firm, free of dust, dirt, oil, grease and other barrier materials, as well as being strong enough to support the weight of the tiles being fixed and completely dry (check the drying times of different substrates)
  (Note. if using Ardex X7 Rapid in wet rooms, bathrooms, showers or swimming pools, use Ardex WPC waterproof tanking system to first waterproof the substrate)
• Mix the product with clean cold water; 1.75 parts powder to 1 part water - until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved
  (Note. Max 7.5 litres of water per 18kg bag - DO NOT EXCEED the recommended maximum amount of water per bag)
• Using a notched trowel, apply the adhesive to the wall or floor surface
  (The size of notched trowel chosen, depends on the tile size, the surface being tiled, the profile on the back of the tile and the degree of coverage required - check out our wide range of trowels)
• Comb to required bed thickness ensuring ribs all run in one direction
  (Note. if fixing tiles to walls or in wet environments, apply additional adhesive to the tile reverse)
• Fix tiles before adhesive forms skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C)
  (Note. if skin forms, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer)
• Press tile firmly into the ribs of the adhesive and into position, with slight twisting/sliding action to ensure optimum adhesive contact (tiles can be adjusted for up to 10 minutes after initial positioning)
• Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between tiles for grouting
• Clean off surplus adhesive from tile face and between tile joints

Recommendations

Ardex X 7 Plus Grey is not suitable for use with limestone, travertine, translucent marble and some granite, due to staining; in this case use Ardex X7 Rapid White, BAL Rapidset Flexible White or BAL Super Cover Rapid Flex White.
