BAL Mosaic Fix Bright White (5Kg)

BAL Mosaic Fix Bright White Adhesive is a polymer-modified, cement-based wall and floor tile adhesive. It is highly water-resistant, has excellent bond strength, and non-slip properties; ideal for fixing format mosaics in wetrooms, bathrooms, showers and total immersion areas such as swimming pools.

Instructions for use

• Ensure surfaces are flat, clean, dry, sound and free from contamination (in wet rooms, bathrooms, showers or swimming pools, use Ardex WPC waterproof tanking system to first waterproof the substrate)
• Mix the product with clean cold water; 3.6 parts powder to 1 part water
  (Mix until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved)
• Using a trowel, apply the adhesive to the wall and floor surface (max. 1m² at a time)
  (The size of notched trowel chosen, depends on the tile size, the surface being tiled, the profile on the back of the tile and the degree of coverage required - check out our wide range of trowels)
• Comb to required bed thickness (between 2-6mm) ensuring ribs all run in one direction

• Fix mosaics before adhesive forms skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C). If skin has formed, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer
• Using a rubber tile float, press mosaics into adhesive and beat into required position (mosaics can be adjusted for up to 20 minutes after initial positioning)
• Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between the mosaics for grouting
• Clean off surplus adhesive from mosaic face and between the joints

Recommendations

BAL Mosaic Fix Bright White is not suitable for use with limestone, travertine and some granite, due to its NON rapid setting properties, which can lead to staining; in this case use Ardex X7 Rapid White or BAL Super Cover Rapidset Flexible White.
