BAL Supercover Rapid Flex White (15Kg)

BAL Super Cover Rapid Flex White is a highly flexible, lightweight, polymer-modified, wall and floor tile adhesive. It is highly water-resistant, non-slip and flexible; making it the ideal adhesive for fast-track tiling of all wet area installations, including those subject to vibration, shrinkage or deflection from the substrate and heated screeds (underfloor heating). Effective and economical, this specialised product goes 60% further than standard tile adhesive products.

Instructions for use

• Ensure surfaces are flat, clean, dry, sound and free from contamination (in wet rooms, bathrooms, showers or swimming pools, use Ardex WPC waterproof tanking system to first waterproof the substrate)
• Mix the product with clean cold water; 2.5 parts powder to 1 part water
  (Mix until smooth, lump-free consistency achieved)
• Using a trowel, apply the adhesive to the wall or floor surface (max. 1m² at a time)
  (The size of notched trowel chosen, depends on the tile size, the surface being tiled, the profile on the back of the tile and the degree of coverage required - check out our wide range of trowels)
• Comb to required bed thickness (between 2-6mm) ensuring ribs all run in one direction
  (Note. if fixing large/heavily-patterned tiles, apply additional adhesive to tile reverse)
• Fix tiles before adhesive forms skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C). If skin has formed, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer
• Press tile firmly into the ribs of the adhesive and into position, with slight twisting/sliding action to ensure optimum adhesive contact (tiles can be adjusted for 5-10 minutes after initial positioning)
• Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between tiles for grouting
• Clean off surplus adhesive from tile face and between tile joints

Recommendations

BAL Super Cover Rapid Flex White is not suitable for fixing to painted or glazed surfaces including existing glazed tiles; in this case use Ardex X7 Rapid Grey or BAL Mosaic Fix Bright White.
