Bostik Power Showerproof Wall Tile Adhesive (10 Litre)

Bostik Power Showerproof Wall Tile Adhesive is a highly water resistant, acrylic wall tile adhesive. It is specially formulated with high grab and strength for fixing wall tiles in commercial and domestic wet rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and shower areas – specifically designed for use in power showers.

Bostik Power Showerproof Wall Tile Adhesive conforms to EN 12004 : 2001 D2TE

Instructions for use

• Ensure the surface is clean; free from dust, dirt, oil and grease as well as weakly adhered paint coatings, whitewash and other friable materials
• Ensure that the wall substrate is strong enough to support the weight of the tiles being fixed and 100% dry
  (Note. Plaster surfaces that are dry and firm can be tiled directly with Bostik Power Showerproof Wall Tile Adhesive, but in all cases the plaster must be of sufficient strength to carry the weight of the tiling
  If using Bostik Power Showerproof in wet rooms, bathrooms or shower areas, use BAL WP1 waterproofing kit or Ardex WPC waterproof tanking system to first waterproof the area)
• Bostik Power Showerproof is a ready to use adhesive and so can be immediately applied to the wall using a notched trowel
  (The size of notched trowel chosen, depends on the tile size, the surface being tiled, the profile on the back of the tile and the degree of coverage required - check out our wide range of trowels)
• Comb to required bed thickness ensuring ribs all run in one direction
• Fix the tiles before the adhesive forms a skin (typically 20 minutes at 20°C)
  (Note. if skin forms, remove adhesive and apply fresh layer)
• Butter the reverse of the tile with adhesive and press the tile firmly into the ribs of the adhesive bed, with a slight twisting/sliding action to ensure optimum adhesive contact
• Ensure you have left adequate joint spaces between tiles for grouting
• Clean off surplus adhesive from tile face and between tile joints

Recommendations

Bostik Power Showerproof Wall Tile Adhesive can be used in wet interior environments, but is not suitable for use in areas subject to total immersion; in this case use BAL White Star.
