Product Details

LTP Ironwax Satin is a hard wearing ionised acrylic semi-gloss sealer. It is an easy to apply, self-shine satin surface seal, which protects tiled flooring against staining from coffee, wine, water, grease and oil etc.

Key Features

  • Protects against staining and stubborn dirt
  • Self-shine satin finish acrylic sealer, enhances colour and texture
  • Easy to apply
  • Low maintenance
  • Suitable for use on travertine, slate, limestone, sandstone, terracotta, bricks, un-polished marble, porous quarries, terrazzo and concrete - may not properly adhere to highly vitrified quarry or ceramic tiles
  • Suitable for use on wall and floor surfaces
  • Suitable for internal use ONLY
  • NOT suitable for use in wet rooms or shower enclosures
  • Suitable for domestic and commercial use
  • Coverage: approx. 15-30m per litre (one coat) depending on substrate porosity

Instructions for use

Always test the solution on an inconspicuous area before general application. This will help you to establish the correct method of application and optimum number of coats before general use

Ensure the surface to be treated is completely clean and dry for a minimum of 24 hours, as any retained moisture may cause LTP Ironwax Satin to dry opaque or even prevent the seal from fully hardening

Notes.
- Avoid shaking the bottle prior to use as frothing of liquid may lead to an inconsistent finish
- Avoid extremes of temperature, store the product in a frost proof place and do not use below freezing
- Do not empty into drains or watercourses, some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings

Instructions for use on rough cut, textured or riven surfaces

  • Use a sponge or paint brush to apply a thin coat of LTP Ironwax Satin to the surface - apply evenly in one direction and do NOT rub or buff
  • Allow to dry for 1 hour and apply further coats until an evenly thin film is created (on average 3 times)
Note. for a higher sheen, further coats should be applied at right angles to the previous (a maximum of 6 coats should be applied in total) - ensure you do not over apply the product however, as too many coats may cause an unsightly build up and/or reduce the efficiency of the product

Instructions for use on honed and smooth surfaces

  • Apply a thin coat of LTP Ironwax Satin spreading it evenly across the surface using a saturated J-cloth
Note. do NOT rub-in the product

LTP Ironwax Satin hardens after about an hour but will take a further three days to achieve full hardness and become fully water resistant

Beware: Keep out of reach of children. After contact with skin, wash with soap and water

Recommendations

Avoid using strong detergents to wash treated surfaces. To maintain your tiles quality finish, routinely sweep the floor and use LTP Floorshine to clean and protect treated surfaces. In some areas where the seal becomes worn, apply more LTP Ironwax Satin and eventually you might consider a complete renovation of the seal, in this case, use LTP Grimex to strip the original seal before re-sealing
