ARDEX EG 8 PLUS is an epoxide tile grout and adhesive with excellent resistance to most chemicals but, unlike traditional epoxy grouts, it is easy to apply, requires no special tools and can be cleaned off the tile surface up to 60 minutes after application. It promotes a reduced maintenance schedule and is ideal for use in areas where high standards of hygiene are required.
This hybrid epoxy tile grout combines the chemical resistance of epoxy grouts with the enhanced application properties of cement-based tile grouts. It can be cleaned off completely in as little as 15 minutes after application, leaving a professional looking grouted tile surface. Ardex EG 8 Plus is suitable for joints 1mm to 10mm wide and can be used in both wall and floor applications. It's also suitable for both internal and external uses too as it's resistant to chemical attack, is waterproof and abrasion resistant.
Because of it's unique features and make up, Ardex EG 8 Plus Epoxide Tile Grout is ideal for use in areas that require intensive hygienic cleaning, as well as for use in areas of constant water immersion like swimming pools, hydrotherapy and spa baths, as well as your bathrooms and kitchens at home.

This is my only experience of using epoxy grout, and it does what it says on the tin. It claims to be workable for up to an hour, but you can tell it's not going to last much longer. They don't publish the ratio of base to hardener but it's 4:1 and I found mixing small batches worked well; I expect you could only use the full 4kg in one hit if you were doing a mosaic. I went with the grey and it was a much better colour than their chart would have you believe, and the Ardex ST Stormy Mist sealant is a perfect colour match, the transition at the expansion joint is invisible. Marks off for being near impossible to clean fully from the tiles but I expect this is all epoxy grouts. And five stars to Tile Fix Direct, the service couldn't have been any better.
