How To Install Marmox Multiboard

Marmox Multiboard is a tile backer board suitable for waterproofing, insulating and dry lining. When installing a wet room or walk in shower, tile backer boards are essential for creating a watertight base. The boards are made from rigid extruded polystyrene with a bonded cementitious coating to both sides so you won't have to worry about rotting, deformation or weakening. When used with electric underfloor heating, the tile backer boards act as an insulating layer to stop heat escaping beneath the tiles.

Marmox tile backer boards are suitable for use with all types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, slate, marble and stone. They are extremely lightweight and easy to cut, whilst also being able to hold substantially more weight than other wall surfaces; when used on walls they hold 62kg/m2, and 40 tonnes/m2 on floors. Once fitted, Marmox Multiboard can be tiled or plastered on to immediately.
