Building on the strengths of the Schlüter®-BEKOTEC modular thin screed system is the Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM heating and control system.
Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM is a quick reacting and easy to install radiant headed screed assembly with low construction height and significantly reduced running costs. The floor heating system is easily adjustable and ideally suited for use with low temperatures, since the screed volume to be heated or cooled is relatively small. The complete assembly is uniquely guaranteed to ensure a crack free tiled finish throughout its lifetime. It is suited to both new build and renovation projects, however it can equally easily be connected to an existing radiator system or directly pumped off the boiler for extensions and conservatories.
Less cement screed, less materials, less weight, less transport, less CO2.
Less energy required equals more money saved.
5 Year Warranty, including not only the complete system but also damage to the floor construction.
A very low supply temperature, only 30°C with tiles, which means less energy is used to heat your floor.
Construction time saved, plus no need to wait 4+ weeks for the screed to cure and no heat curing or moisture testing.
The Schlüter® BEKOTEC-THERM system uses significantly less screed than traditional heated screed installations, as only 8mm of screed is needed above the studs in the pre-formed panels, reducing the overall screed thickness by 37mm. This is equivalent to a reduction of approximately 74Kg of screed per m2. Additionally, no fibre reinforcement or expansion joints are required.
The reduced screed height also means that the heating cables are much closer to the surface, reducing the amount of screed that needs to be heated and therefore the time it takes to heat the floor. Reducing the amount of screed used not only benefits you, but it is also much better for the environment as less materials will need to be manufactured and transported, reducing the overall carbon footprint.
Lower screed mass allows for quicker response.
Due to the position of the heating pipes a much lower supply temperature is required.
Optimised control technology offers accurate temperature control in each room and across the whole building.
Maximum comfort from the mild radiated heat of the floor - even for barefoot walks to the fridge at night.
No hot radiators to burn small hands.
Interconnected air channel disperse heat evenly.
Low supply temperature plus even heat distribution equals energy efficiency and cost savings.
Heat pumps and solar equipment can provide the low supply temperatures required.
Heated dry floors reduce the chance of insects and mites. Even distribution of heat prevents fungi formation and spores.
A passive cooling option is available for warm summer months.
Are you looking for an electric underfloor heating system instead? If you need a high quality, reliable electric underfloor heating system that's easy to install choose Schlüter®-DITRA-HEAT-E. Schlüter®-DITRA-HEAT-E is a an underfloor heating system based on a polypropylene membrane with a cut back stud structure for the attachment of the heating cables and an anchoring fleece laminated to the underside. It is a universal substrate for tile coverings, an uncoupling layer, bonded waterproofing and moisture vapour barrier.
