Marmox self-adhesive waterproof tape is a simple way to create a permanent waterproof seal around shower trays and over joints. This waterproof tape should be used around all shower formers where it meets the adjoining floor, the wall and the internal corner. It should also cover joints in all areas prone to regular wetting and is also ideal for covering gaps smaller than 2mm wide. The seal is made by peeling off the backing paper to activate a permanent waterproof adhesive which is then pressed firmly into place. The tape should be secured by completely covering it in tile adhesive when the tiles are applied.
Marmox self adhesive waterproof tape is made up of a self-adhesive butyl rubber which has high elasticity and is resistant to ageing, topped with a polypropylene non-woven material which allows good cement-ability with tile adhesives and sealants. It is compatible with tiles and natural stone in domestic indoor applications. The self-adhesive tape is easy to apply due to the release liner with overlaps for easy removal. This 10m roll of Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Tape is 100mm in width.
