Matching the colour of your tile grout and silicone allows you to create a seamless colour scheme to your tiled area. These trims perfectly colour match the Mapei Ultra Color Plus range of tile grouts - available here in 2kg and 5kg bag sizes - as well as the Mapei Mapesil AC Tile Silicone (310ml).

Installation is straightforward: level a bed of flexible cement-based adhesive (e.g., Mapei Keraflex Super or Type 1), press the trim in place, butt your tiles flush, and finish with a 1–2 mm grout joint. What are the delivery lead times?

In-stock trims ordered before 11 am are dispatched same day for next-day delivery. Orders placed after 11 am ship the following working day.

Installing Mapei Colour Aluminium Straight Edge Tile Trim with tile adhesive

First, wear suitable PPE, such as cut-resistant gloves, to handle the profile.

Remove the profile from the packaging.

Check that the thickness of the covering/flooring to be laid is not greater than the dimension of the profile (see label).

Where present, also remove any protection (protective and/or heat-shrinkable film) added to protect the finish.

Measure the required length and cut the profile to size using an appropriate tool.

Level the adhesive on the laying surface using a notched trowel.

Place the profile in position and level it with the covering laid previously.

Lay the covering delicately, making sure it is flush with the profile and leaving the right space for a grout line (usually 1-2mm).

Fill any gaps left between the covering and the profile with a suitable grout.

Remove any excess grout, adhesive, solvents, etc. with a soft sponge and water within ten minutes of application.
