Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS Self-Adhesive Matting (1 Metre)

Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS Self Adhesive Matting is the self adhesive version of the Schluter Ditra Heat Duo Matting in a handy peel and stick membrane - no need for adhesive! It features a special sound-deadening layer that reduces impact sound. This same layer also acts as a thermal barrier fleece, covered in pressure sensitive peel and stick adhesive laminated to the underside.

Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS self adhesive under floor heating matting is available in single 1m² cut length units from Tile Fix Direct, so you never buy more than you need per job.

Like the standard Ditra Heat Duo, this peel and stick matting is made from polypropylene and features a cut back stud structure with gridlines to make sizing & cutting the matting easy. It forms an uncoupling & vapour pressure equalisation layer that is designed to carry the Schluter Ditra Heat E HK Heating Cable. The anchoring fleece laminated to the backside features a thermoplastic adhesive layer.

This matting is approximately 7.6mm tall. We always advise installing the membrane at ambient temperatures of 5-30°C.

The Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS Self Adhesive Matting is stretchable, waterproof, crack-bridging and non-rotting. The polypropylene material is largely resistant to the effects of aqueous solutions, salts, acids, alkalis, organic solvents, alcohols and oils. The peel and stick adhesive layer is not water-soluble and permanently attaches to coverings that are free of solvents, plasticisers and oils.

This Schluter self adhesive matting uncouples and neutralises stresses between the tiles from the substrate below. It also bridges tension cracks from the substrate and prevents them from affecting and cracking your tiles.

How to install Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS Self-Adhesive Matting

Schluter Ditra Heat Duo PS is intended for interior floor use only. The substrate below must be flat, clean & dust free, dry, smooth, rigid & load bearing, with no deflection. To install, simply peel the release film off the back of the membrane and place down. It can be lifted & re-positioned if no pressure has been applied.

Once you're happy with the matting position, apply pressure. When pressure is applied the adhesive sticks the membrane firmly to the substrate. The heating cables can then be installed immediately after adhering the membrane, using a minimum spacing of 9cm (every third stud ≙ 136 W/m²).

Lay the tiles directly over the Schluter Ditra Heat DUO PS Matting using the thin-bed method and in accordance with the applicable regulations. Fill the back indentations with tile adhesive. This transfers any stresses from the tiles directly to the substrate and improves tile durability.

Schluter Ditra Heat DUO PS Matting is waterproof and can be used in wet rooms. Make sure to seal joints with Schluter Kerdi Keba Sealing Tape and Schluter Kerdi Coll L Adhesive.

We always recommend using tiles larger than 5cm x 5cm and thicker than 5.5mm with this matting. The membrane is suitable for traffic loads of up to 3 kN/m². This includes residential and light commercial use (private homes, office and administrative spaces, restaurants, hotels, conference rooms, nursing stations and patient rooms etc).
